Marvin Adams 69 died in his home Tuesday December 25 2012. Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Friday December 28 2012 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Saluda. Visitation were 5:30 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. Marvin was born August 27 1943 in Saluda SC the son of the late Travis Adams and Jeanette Adams Roe. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Marvin was a family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Leaphart Adams; children Joseph (Kristi) Adams of Jalapa Rhonda Adams Rebecca (Josh Wilbanks) Adams Jacob Adams all of Kinards and an adopted son Brandon Simons of Kinards; grandchildren Hunter Dillon Savanna and Shana; siblings Ernestine (John) Chrisely and Brooks (Patsy) Adams all of Saluda.
