Mary Elizabeth Dudder Sligh Snelgrove 95 of Pomaria and widow of Carl C. Snelgrove Sr. died Wednesday November 17 2010 at White Oak Manor. Mrs. Snelgrove was born on January 25 1915 in Newberry County to the late Albert A. and Mary Cromer Sligh. She was a member of Colony Lutheran Church She is survived by a son Carl C. (Judy) Snelgrove Jr. of Chapin; two daughters Margaret (Jim) Williams of Chapin and Clara Sue Waites of Pomaria; seven grandchildren eight great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother James A. Sligh; sisters Ruth Stroud Sarah Long and Frances Roton; and a son-in-law Kenneth Waites. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Interment was in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 5:00 to 6:30 PM Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry.
