Mary Geraldine George Burriss 61 of 1610 Harrington Street Newberry wife of Mitchel K. Burriss died Wednesday October 20 2004 at her residence.Mrs. Burriss was born on October 26 1942 in Greenville a daughter of the late Ira George Jr. and Julia Ruby Stephens George. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Burriss is survived by her husband of the home one son; Mitchel C. Burriss of the home and one sister; Ira Lee Burke of Taylors. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev. Charlie Clinton. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Greenville.Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P. M. Friday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
