Mary Ouzts Chappell 95 widow of Thomas E. Chappell died Wednesday April 06 2005 at White Oak Manor.Mrs. Chappell was born on August 13 1909 in Edgefield County a daughter of the late James M. and Janie Ouzts. She was a retired employee of Newberry Mills and a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church.Mrs. Chappell is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Robert Coats and Edith and Leroy Minick both of Newberry; one sister Ollie Hiller of Newberry; five grandchildren seven great grandchildren and three great great granddaughters. She was predeceased by a son John Henry Chappell two brothers and four sisters.Graveside funeral services were conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday in West End Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum.Visitation was from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home.
