Mary Smith Miller 96 widow of Marion P. Miller formerly of Springfield Place in Newberry S.C. died Saturday May 31 2014 at the Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday in Bethany Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home. She was born on May 9 1918 in Saluda County a daughter of the late Jeff and Ludie Rinehart Smith. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and retired from the Kendall Co. Oakland Plant. Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara M. and Ralph Gilliam of Alpharetta GA; two grandsons and their spouses Mark and Jami Gilliam of Alpharetta GA and Todd and Kim Gilliam of Atlanta GA; 5 great-grandchildren Taylor and Chandler Gilliam of Alpharetta GA and Haley and Audrey Gilliam of Atlanta GA.; and Carsen Turner of Alpharetta; and sister-in-law Helen Miller of Newberry.
