Merroll Moore Brown, age 81, of Newberry, died January 2, 2024 at her home. Born April 10, 1942 in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Moore and Margaret Cole Chaney. She was the widow of Joseph "Joe" W. Brown.

Merroll was a pleasant and happy lady who lived a simple and beautiful life. Her greatest loves were her flowers and her family, both of which she spent her time caring for. She enjoyed working in her yard every day, and Merroll was legendary for her "15-minute girl" visits, checking in on those she cared about on a regular basis. She was direct and to the point with her words, and open and caring with her love and help, never meeting a stranger.

She was a weaver in the textile industry and retired from American Fiber and Finishing.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Tzivekis (Pete) of Pennsylvania and Frances McLeod (Greg) of Newberry and; a son, Barry Brown (Nickole) of Newberry, SC; grandchildren Christopher Felicinio, Michael Felicinio, Anthony McLeod, Heather Muise (Derik), Ashley Little (Brett), Monica Chavez (Eddie), Corey Brown, Kaydee Rivers and Carly Rivers and great grandchildren Allison and Madison Little.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Joe Brown.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, 2:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Eddie Bledsoe.
