Michael E. "Mike" Jennings 57 of 51 Jennings Pt. Prosperity died Friday April 27 2007 at the Dorm VA Hospital.He was born in Newberry a son of Wirt H. and Lou Braswell Jennings. He graduated from Camden Military Academy where he was voted Most Outstanding Company Commander two years in a row and he attended the University of Houston. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War servicing with the 101st Airborne. He was a Life Member of the VFW and was a member of the Lake Murray Seniors Bass Fishing Club. He is survived by his parents of Prosperity; two sisters Marti Hovater of Houston TX and Dottie (Larry) Moore of Memphis TN; and six nieces and nephews Louanne Hovater Sean Hovater Christopher Hovater Seth Hovater Kyle Moore and Justin Moore. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Holman Jennings.Memorial services were conducted at 2:00 PM Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev.
