Michael "Mike" B. Foy, age 70, of Pomaria, died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 26, 1952, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the second son to the late William Rutherford Foy and Jaquelyn Eileen Charron Foy.

Upon retiring from Gerber Manufacturing Co., Mike was thrilled to return to the Newberry area where his father was born and where Mike himself had lived for several years. He enjoyed fishing, working outside in his yard and eating ice cream, preferably, cookies and cream. Mike also adored spending time with his grandchildren every chance he had.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Charlotte Ann Foy of Pomaria; his sons, Michael Foy, Jr. (Susan) and Matthew Chiapponi (Suzanne); a stepson, Christopher Newell (Jennifer) all of Connecticut; his grandchildren, Chole, Braeden, Cooper, Conner and Collin; sisters, Sharon Foy Baird (James) of St. Augustine, FL and Terry Wooden of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by his beloved K-9 companions, Layla and Tabitha.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, James Larry Foy and his younger brother, Robert Lionel Foy.
