Mrs. Mildred Long Amick 84 of 2015 Glenn St. Ext widow of R. Edgar Amick died Wednesday evening at her residence.She was born on July 10 1924 in Little Mountain a daughter of the late Charlie W. and Mary Cannon Long. She was retired from Prosperity Manufacturing Company and was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church.Surviving are daughters Carol A. Bickley Darlene A. Eargle and husband Simpson and Wanda Amick all of Newberry; a son Robert L Amick and wife Carole of West Columbia; 4 grandchildren Jeffrey W. Bickley (Angie) Ashley E. Moore (Scott) Cory E. Amick and Suzanne Baggett; and 6 great-grandchildren Caleb Bickley Colby W. Bickley Makayla C. Moore Victoria Baggett Lane Moore and Jordan Moore. Funeral services were conducted at 4:30 P.M. Saturday at Summer Memorial Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kathy Harris. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family did receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.Active pallbearers were Jeffrey W. Bickley Cory Amick Scott Moore Danny Price Derrill Amick Jr. Willie Rooker Lee Werts and Michael Mills. Honorary pallbearers were Tri County Hospice Dr. John Thompson Tina Smith Tracy Werts and the Church Visitation Teams.
