Mildred Lee Moore White, 89, of Chapin, SC passed away at her home Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was born November 12, 1927 in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of Beulah Jeanette Haralson Moore and Edward Harrison Moore. Her husband Brascoe Edwin White preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her two daughters Cheryl W. Bennett, husband Carl, of Chapin, SC, and Marsha W. Whitehurst, of Dillwyn, VA. Mildred had three grandsons: Jason R. Bennett of Irmo, SC, Grover William Whitehurst, Jr., of Farmville, VA, and Brascoe Russell Whitehurst of Kenbridge, VA. Mildred was blessed with seven great-grandchildren. Mildred is also survived by two brothers: Thomas H. Moore of Courtland, VA and William E. Moore of Suffolk, VA. Her sister Edna M. Howell (Mrs. Robert) preceded her in death. Mildred lived a long, loving life. She was always a hard-working, family-loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to visit with her grandchildren, to cook, and to watch the birds and squirrels. Mildred was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church in Suffolk, VA.
