Miriam Sue Jackson 92 passed away peacefully on Saturday March 10 2012 at the Heritage at Lowman. Mrs. Jackson was born in Covington OH on May 28 1919 a daughter of the late James G. and Glenna Bashor Rench. She later lived in Columbus OH; Pittsburg PA; Atlanta GA and Columbia SC. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday March 18 2012 at the Living Word Chapel at the Heritage at Lowman Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility by the Rev. Robert Winburn of Spring Valley Baptist Church. Interment was in Greenhaven Memorial Park in Elgin SC. The family did greet friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:15 PM Sunday at the Living Word Chapel at the Heritage at Lowman. After moving to Columbia in 1995 Sue and her husband Chester became active members of Spring Valley Baptist Church and the Co-Ed F Senior Sunday School Class. Sue was a follower of Jesus and loved Him with all her heart. She leaves a legacy of the love of God love of family and love of friends and people. She was a most generous selfless person always being considerate of the needs of others before her own. To know Sue was to love her. Left to cherish her beautiful spirit are her devoted children daughter Marianne Uschelbec and husband Ken of Irmo and son David Jackson and wife Diane of Seneca; grandchildren Jim Uschelbec and wife Lainie of Chapin Beth Teague and husband Jeff of Greenville and Rebecca Jackson of Atlanta GA; five great-grandchildren Matthew Adam and Griffin Uschelbec Amanda and Lydia Teague; and sisters Betty Finfrock and Pauline Whitmer both of Covington OH; She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Chester W. Jackson. Many thanks and appreciation to everyone at the Heritage at Lowman who loved her and took care of her daily needs for nine years; to Lutheran Hospice for the physical and spiritual support they devotedly provided for her as well as to her special friends at Spring Valley Baptist church who visited her often and brought great encouragement to her and the family.
