Nancy Lee Carico, 83, of Newberry, SC, died August 12, 2024.

Born on December 2, 1940 in Richlands, VA, she was a daughter of the late Rex and Pearl (Blankenship) Lester. She was the devoted wife of the late, Rev. Dr. L.E. Virgil Carico.

Mrs. Carico was a member of the One 2 One Christian Church, formerly known as Newberry Christian Church. Nancy served as the past treasurer to both churches and also volunteered at Newberry County Memorial Hospital for 12 years.

Her hobbies were her flowers. She loved gardening, especially indoor potted plants and crafting silk arrangements for the church altar flowers which she changed out weekly.

Nancy is survived by her son, Robert Allen Carico; daughter, Deborah Ann Seabrook and her husband, William; two grandsons, Travis Lee Carico and Robert Allen Carico, Jr.; siblings, Lyle P. Lester, Margarette Ann (Joe) Sboray, Billy D. Lester, Martha Lynn Morris, James "Jimmy" (Marcella) Lester, and Della Mae (Geoffry) Russell.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Wayne Lester, Ruby Carol Lester, and Betty Cecil Mraz, and her sister-in-law, Vickie Lester.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at One 2 One Christian Church, 41 The Christian Circle, Newberry, SC, 29108.

A funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
