Obituary

Narves Stockman Lindler 85 widow of Claude Evans Lindler formerly of Prosperity died Monday October 6 2014 at White Oak Manor. Born on April 2 1929 in Prosperity she was a daughter of the late Sebern and Marrie Mills Stockman. She was retired from Shawnee Mill. Mrs. Lindler was an active member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her time gardening and loved cooking for family and others. She is survived by her son Kenneth Lindler Sr. (Billie) of Prosperity; grandchildren Kenneth Lindler Jr.(Jennifer) Tracy Lindler (Lori) Angela Pitts (Scott) and James Romans (Charlene); and eight great grandchildren Ellie Quade Allen Leeanna Sara Devin Savannah and Cayden. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by sisters Janelle King and Earlene Cotney and an infant brother. Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 am Wednesday October 8 2014 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jason Schafer. Interment was at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family did receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 at Whitaker Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ken Lindler Jr. Tracy Lindler Scott Pitts James Romans Calvin Lindler and Don Richardson. Honorary pallbearers were Lee Foster Dr. Alan Paysinger Dr. Michael Bernardo and the Staff of Unit One at White Oak Manor. Memorials are suggested to St. Lukes Lutheran Church 4056 St. Lukes Church Rd. Prosperity SC 29127. On line condolences may be sent to the family at www.whitakerfuneralhome.com.
