Nell Bedenbaugh Lominack, 82, of Newberry died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at White Oak Manor, Newberry.
Born on November 16, 1940 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Clara Dickert and Jesse Carroll Bedenbaugh, Sr.
Nell was a 1957 graduate of Newberry High School and a 1960 graduate of Newberry College Business Associate program. She worked in several local businesses - Wertz Music, Owens Illinois, Newberry Millls, and Dr. Carter's office - before beginning her career in banking. Working in various roles, throughout her career, she retired as Vice President of Operations from First Community Bank. Upon retirement, she worked part time at the William H. Franklin, CPA firm.
Nell was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and enjoyed supper club, shanghai club, and bridge club. She enjoyed entertaining and being around others. Her compassion and care will live on in the lives of those she touched.
She is survived by her sons, Edward F. "Trey" Lominack, III (Jennifer) of Mt. Pleasant and Garrett Dickert Lominack (Molly) of Little Mountain; grandchildren, Kassidy Beth Lominack, William Kirby Lominack, and Summer Caroline Lominack; sisters, Rachel Dickert (Johnnie), Jackie Boozer (Neel), and Doris Coggins (Jimmie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Edward "Ed" Frazier Lominack, Jr. and brothers, John Grady Bedenbaugh, Garrett Bedenbaugh, and Jesse C. "Bud" Bedenbaugh, Jr.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Newberry Hospital staff, White Oak Manor, Nica Dowd (MSA Hospice) and Lovelace Clinic for the love care they gave Nell.
The family suggests memorials be made to White Oak of Newberry, 2555 Kinards St., Newberry, SC 29108.
