Obituary

Nell Riley Jackson 88 of Varnville South Carolina died Wednesday April 14 2010 in Newberry South Carolina after a long illness. She was born in Enterprise Alabama May 26 1921 daughter of the late Daniel Dock and Clifford (Graham) Riley. She was married to the late James Arthur (Jim) Jackson for 60 years. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her son-in-law Everett Livingston; her sisters Myrtle (Hinton) Lewis Cathy (Paul) Green and Bobbie (Bill) Hutto; and by her nephew Gerald Nichols. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her seven children and their families: Sue Livingston and husband Donald Cadwallader of Winter Springs Florida; Sandra Harlan of Varnville South Carolina; Kay and husband Gregg Belknap of Arden North Carolina; James (Jim) and wife Lisa (Causey) Jackson of Lilburn Georgia; Richard (Rick) and wife Karen (Horne) Jackson of West Columbia South Carolina; Philip and wife Ginger (Horne) Jackson of Columbia South Carolina; and Helen and husband Carl Setzler of Newberry South Carolina. Also surviving Mrs. Jackson are 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The grandchildren are Sues children Everett (Rhett) Livingston and Scott (Heidi Haycook) Livingston; Sandras children Tracy Harlan Katie (Anthony) Rodriguez and Douglas Harlan; Kays children Mark Belknap and Jenny (Paul) Krueger Ricks children Eric Jackson Michelle (Daniel) Crowson Rachel Jackson Adam Jackson and Christian Jackson; Philips children Hunter (Carolynne Slicer) Jackson Mackenzie Jackson Rebekah (Adam) Rucker and Rachel Warnock; and Helens children Benjamin Setzler Bradley Setzler and Lora Setzler. Great-grandchildren are Rhetts children Karen Mark and Christin Livingston; Scotts children Isabella Madison and Joshua Livingston; Katies children Bryson Dedmon and Sophia Rodriguez; Jennys son Ryan Krueger; Michelles children Rivers and Jackson Crowson; and Rebekahs children Kate Seth and Daniel Rucker.She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Nichols Griggs of Montgomery Alabama and many nieces and nephews of Enterprise Alabama. Nells funeral were a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in the Varnville Cemetery in Varnville South Carolina on Saturday April 17. The service was led by her nephew P. N. (Nick) Green of Enterprise Alabama and the family did receive friends immediately following the service.
