Nellie Mitchell Hite 83 widow of Robert D. Hite formerly of Kate Street died Saturday March 11 2006 at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Hite was born on July 16 1922 in Rock Hill a daughter of the late Morris and Inez Mitchell. She was a retired employee of Kendall Company Oakland Plant and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Beaufort and a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Newberry. Mrs. Hite is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Patricia Campbell of Beaufort and Sandra and Frank Osborne of Lexington; one sister Patsy Hamm of Newberry; two granddaughters and a grandson–in-law Jennifer Campbell of Beaufort and Natalie and Eric Smith of West Columbia.Graveside funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday at Newberry Memorial Gardens by Rev. Ronald Smith. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
