Nicholas "Nick" Scott Phillips, 27, of Kinards, South Carolina, died Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Newberry, South Carolina, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born on June 11, 1998, in Newberry, SC, he was a son of Natosha Barker Phillips and the late Michael Shawn Phillips.

Nick enjoyed spending time with his children, whom he was the happiest around. Playing basketball with friends and family and watching sports were among many of his hobbies. He enjoyed listening to music. Some of his favorite artists were Rod Wave and Kevin Gates. Being a dad brought Nick the most joy in life.

He is survived by his mother, Natosha Barker Phillips; his children, Aiden Phillips and Kallani Phillips; his brother, Dustin Phillips (Katie); a special cousin Kelly Hendrix (Adam); nephew, Kobe Phillips; niece, Joycilynn Ruff Phillips. Nick is also survived by his girlfriend, Lizzie Coats; and her children Aliannah Taylor and Chloe Simon.

In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his brother, Eric Jordan Phillips.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Monday, July 14, 2025, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry Chapel.

A memorial service will be held Monday, 4:00 PM, at Glory Tabernacle Church, Newberry, SC.
