Nina Sue Price Bedenbaugh 71 formerly of Harrington Street in Newberry died Thursday January 29 2015 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Saturday January 31 at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday February 1 at Macedonia Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Randy Derrick. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born on April 12 1943 in Newberry she was the daughter of the late Van E. and Nina Cromer Price. Mrs. Bedenbaugh was a 1965 graduate of Newberry College with a BS in Business Education. She worked with the Newberry School District for a number of years as Benefits Coordinator. While able she had been a dedicated member of Newberry A.R.P Church where she had taught in the Primary Department of the Sunday School participated in the choir and belonged to the Women of the Church. Nina Sue later joined Macedonia Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Yoder L. Bedenbaugh; daughter and her husband Melanie and Patrick Hawkins of Prosperity; son and his wife Andrew and Stephanie Bedenbaugh of Washington DC; grandchildren: Claire Hawkins Ben Hawkins and an expected grandson in April; and her brother Andrew Andy Price of Falls Church VA. Pallbearers will be Lee Ringer Jean Williamson Butch Price Leon Fulmer Jr. Mickey Bowers and Melvin Price. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. The family will be at the home of her daughter Melanie 2728 Bethel Church Rd. Prosperity SC.
