IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nora Kathryn
Stuck
January 13, 1935 – August 5, 2024
Nora Kathryn Kinard Stuck, 89, of Pomaria, died August 5, 2024, at her residence. Born on January 13, 1935, in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Oran Kinard and the late Carrie Delle Huffman. She was the devoted wife of the late, C. Gurnie Stuck.
Mrs. Stuck was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church, where she served as the organist for many years, the church Treasurer, a Sunday School teacher, and a life-long member of WELCA. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in her earlier years prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Pomaria Bridge Club, which she dearly loved.
Nora was a true southern lady: humble, kind, and tender hearted as could be. A fierce competitor, she played basketball for Pomaria High School and later became an Honor graduate of Newberry College.
She was an avid, die-hard Clemson fan, cheering for her Tigers in all sports, primarily in football, basketball and baseball. Health permitting, she and her family travelled to all home football games and many away games.
Family was most important in her life. For many years, she hosted and enjoyed the family's 4th of July Reunion at their lake house on Lake Murray. Summers were highlighted by their annual family beach trips. She adored her family, and she was most proud of them.
If you knew Nora, you know she loved to keep her yard and garden in pristine condition. She was diligent in maintaining her yard, plants, and flowers. Amongst all the things Nora did over her lifetime. She thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with the Bridge Club and going on adventures to the mountains with them.
Survivors are her daughters, Kathy Delle Stuck, Kim Stuck (Jimmy) Moore and Beth Stuck (Mark) Lester; grandchildren, Carl Douglas (Mary) Moore, Mary Kathryn (Trey) Gardner, James Albert "Al" (Rachel) Moore, Jordan Huffman Lester, Elizabeth Grace Lester and Thomas Christian Lester; and her great-grandchildren; Allie Kirk Moore, Hank Douglas Moore, Katie James Moore, Jackson Brent Moore, and Mitchel Reed Gardner.
