Norma Jean Wardrup Amick 68 of Cowpens wife of Ralph Terry Amick died Friday July 25 2014 in Gaffney. Born on Oct. 30 1945 in Ashville NC she was the daughter of Dorothy Hall Wardrup and the late Darrial Jennings Wardrup. She worked as an insurance agent for a number of years and later worked as a medical claims processor. Mrs. Amick is survived by her mother of Jackson SC; her children Larry Beam Jr. (Wanda) of Chapin and Lynn Hollifield (Kevin) of Roebuck; brother Ricky Wardrup (Verlyn) of Jackson SC; grandchildren Andrew Metze Christina Beam and Neil Smith; step children Melissa and Neal; and step grandchildren Rachel and Wesley. In addition to her family she was very fond of her dogs. She was preceded in death by Larry Beam Sr. the father of her children. Graveside funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Temple Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Castlewood VA. On line condolences may be sent to the family at www.whitakerfuneralhome.com.
