Pamela "Pam" Reed Kelly, 64, of Prosperity, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Kelly was born on March 9, 1952 in Barnwell, SC, a daughter of the late Harold William and Sarah Ann Glaspy Reed. Pam was a woman of God and attended the Old Time Holiness Mission. She was a homemaker, an excellent seamstress, and especially fond of farm life. Pam found happiness in life. She loved a good joke, enjoyed fishing and playing cards, and was an avid animal lover. Spring was her favorite time of the year, a time when she particularly enjoyed the blooming daffodils. The fluttering of butterflies and presence of hummingbirds brought a smile to her face. Pam is survived by her husband of 23 years, John P. Kelly, who was her "Angel"; children, Susan Higgins (Gary) of Prosperity and Derryl William "Will" Dixon (Rebecca) of Florence, AL; siblings; Donna Reed Waldrep (Mike) of Elgin, SC and George Michael Reed of Canton, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Hali Higgins Alexander (Rob), Elizabeth Higgins, Avee Higgins, Matthew Higgins, and Peyton James; great grandchildren, Cole Alexander and Karoline Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Susan Reed Parsley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Prosperity Church of God conducted by the Rev. Mark Wilkes and the Rev. Vernon Koon. The family will receive friends following the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Hartley, Pate Waldrep, Rob Alexander, and Thomas Frick.
