Patricia Pat Crowder Hawkins 77 of Columbia died Saturday June 30 2012 at the Brian Center St. Andrews. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday July 3 2012 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. She was born on January 27 1935 in Newberry County a daughter of the late Frank and Eunice Bishop Crowder. Mrs. Hawkins enjoyed knitting crocheting and especially spending time with her animals. She is survived by her husband Colin Ray Hawkins and son Wyman Hawkins both of Columbia; grandchildren Justin Hawkins and Rachel Hawkins both of Chapin; and daughter-in-law Becky Hawkins Thompson of Chapin. She was predeceased by a son Michael Ray Hawkins; sister Mary Agnes Crowder Merchant; and brother Charlie Randolph Crowder. Active pallbearers will be Randy Crowder Donald Crowder Greg Merchant Bud Vassey Mitchell Connelly Tim Connelly and Roger Connelly.
