Patsy "Pat" Carol Bledsoe Hunter, 81, of Little Mountain died Monday, August 9, 2021 at The Heritage at Lowman. Born in Gate City, Virginia on March 3, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William and Eva Frazier Bledsoe. Pat was a homemaker and a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Irmo, SC. She enjoyed gardening, appreciated the beauty of flowers and played Bridge at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Charleston, SC. Generous by nature, Pat was known for having a "big heart" and giving help to those in need whenever she could. Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack Lee Hunter; two children, Laura Hunter Phipps (Casey) of Irmo and John A. Hunter of Little Mountain; Grandchildren, Hunter and Jackson Phipps; sister, Billie Bledsoe Ramsey of Wake Forest, NC; brother-in-law, Brad Hunter (Susie) of Greensboro, NC; nieces, Susan Rumsey Hull of Wake Forest, NC and Anna Rumsey of Greensboro, NC; and nephew, William Rumsey of Shawboro, NC. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Pat's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
