Paul L. Boles 75 of Newberry husband of Judith Judy Kay Boles died Monday January 11 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Columbia SC. Born on December 15 1940 in San Bernardino CA he was the son of the late Roy Hasel Boles and Dorothy Faye Miller Boles. Pauls work career was in the photofinishing industry retiring from Gretag Imaging, Inc. as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During his work career he traveled the world visiting numerous countries and logging more than two million miles just with American Airlines. At his retirement in 1999 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Photo Marketing Association (PMA). He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Newberry. Paul loved bird watching he loved sports in general but he especially loved Boston Red Sox baseball. After retirement he volunteered at the American Red Cross and worked blood drives in the Carolina Low Country. His humor and kindness were felt by all and he was loved by all who knew him. He was the Family Super Hero the one that could always be depended on for help and wise advice. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Judy Boles; children; Matthew George Boles of Fayetteville AR and Jennifer Marie Boles of Fredericksburg VA; a sister Kris Rhodes and her spouse Ron Rhodes; seven nieces three nephews and a loving group of grandnieces and grandnephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents and a nephew Eric Langfitt. Services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery Brewster MA on June 15 2016 at 11:00 AM. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Red Cross Central SC Chapter 2751 Bull Street Columbia SC 29201.
