Obituary

Peggy Taylor Banning, 87, of Simpsonville, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at NHC HealthCare in Laurens, South Carolina.

Peggy was born in Newberry, South Carolina on August 4, 1937 to the late Clyde Spencer and Margaret Livingston Taylor.

Peggy spent much of her childhood in Florence, South Carolina, and graduated from McClenaghan High School. She was a homemaker and also worked several years in the hospitality industry as a hotel desk clerk. Peggy's interests included gardening, cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her second husband, Bruce Banning; son, Bill Rodrigue; son, David Rodrigue and his wife, Miriam; granddaughter, Alexis Rodrigue; grandson, Taylor Rodrigue; granddaughter, Allison Satterfield and her husband, Grey; grandson, Tyler Rodrigue and his wife, Jennifer; and great granddaughter, Ayla Rodrigue.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl William Rodrigue, Jr.

Private graveside services will be held at Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry.
