Ralph Scurry Boazman 86 of 19997 US Highway 76 Newberry died Saturday March 31 2012 at J. F. Hawkins Health Care. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Newberry A. R. Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Mantle Nance and the Rev. Dr. Tim Erskine. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The visitation was from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home. He was born on March 6 1926 in Chappells a son of the late Joe J. and Janie Reel Boazman. Mr. Boazman was a graduate of Ninety-Six High School and Newberry College and he was an Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. He was a member of Newberry A. R. Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon Elder and Trustee and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He retired from Newberry Electric Co-op with 39 years of service. Mr. Boazman is survived by his wife of 59 years Harriet Brown Boazman; a daughter and son-in-law Edith and Steve Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law Joe Boazman of Greenwood and John and Claudia Boazman of Lexington; 2 sisters Frances Boozer of Chappells and Christina Tina Able of Greenwood; a sister-in-law Myrtice Boazman of Chappells; grandchildren Justin Boazman Amber Bowling and her husband Derek Maria Bedenbaugh Joanna Bedenbaugh Rebecca Boazman and James Boazman; and a great granddaughter Abby Bowling. He was predeceased by a brother Earl Boazman and a sister Josie Dominick. Pallbearers will be Bill Dominick James Neel Bert Neel Scott Neel Johnny Buice Doug Hite Mac Hite Alvan Hite Jim Brown Dean Brown Bob Ringer and Charlie Ringer.
