Randall "Randy" Cousins Gilbert, 60 years of Saluda, NC, died on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence in Saluda, NC. Randy was born in Hendersonville, NC and is the son of Narvice Cousins Gilbert and the late Frederick C. "Fred" Gilbert, Jr. He was self-employed and worked in the general construction business for years. He treasured his fond memories of summers on Lake Murray and equally appreciated his time spent in the mountains around Saluda, NC. Gardening and fishing were among his favorite pastimes and he also enjoyed his time helping his dad with the apple orchard. Randy greatly appreciated nature. He found boundless satisfaction living on his land and enjoying the forest surrounding him. Survivors include his mother, Narvice C. Gilbert of Saluda, NC; sister, Cassandra "Cassie" G. Conner and brother, Wendel "Wendy" Gilbert both of Saluda, NC. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry, SC.
