Randy Bruce Taylor 65 of 14273 SC Highway 121 Newberry died Sunday January 06 2013 Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. Funeral service were conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 9 2013 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Vernon Koon. Interment with military honors did follow in Rosemont cemetery. Born on June 6 1947 in Newberry he was the son of the late Clarice Wilhite and Carl O. Taylor Sr. Randy was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and served many years with the SC National Guard. He was a member of College Street Baptist Church. Randy enjoyed many hobbies such as racing and working on cars skating skiing and scuba diving. He truly loved being on the water. He is the survived by his children Dylan Taylor of the residence Christopher Jason Temples of Whitmire Eiko (Chad) Hendrix of Newberry Hiro (Sebrina) Shimoda of Chappells and Jessica Rowe of Newberry; sisters Robin (Rick) Cofer and Debbie (Billy) Hunter both of Newberry and Pamela Denise Taylor of Newberry; brothers Carl O. (Lin) Taylor Jr. of Leesville and Mark A. Taylor of Newberry; five grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend Mike Williams. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. G.B. Wilhite and his paternal grandparents Jap and Louise Taylor.
