Obituary

Raynell Grace Rhinehart Crumpton, 77, formerly of Newberry and Lexington, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 in West Columbia. Born on April 1, 1940 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Leroy B. and Mamie Wesson Rhinehart. She was married to the late Ernest Capers Crumpton. She was a lunch room employee with Lexington School District 1 and was also a former employee of Westinghouse. She was a member of the Lexington Church of God and a charter member of the Cayce-West Columbia Moose Lodge. Mrs. Crumpton was a woman full of love and to her family she was the most wonderful mother of all and sweetest grandmother around. She is survived by sons, Mark Crumpton (Natalie) and Ernest Crumpton both of Lexington and John Crumpton of Pelion; grandchildren, Alexandria Douberly, Tyler Crumpton (Kelsie), Meghan Crumpton, Emmaly Crumpton, Jaiden Crumpton and Jacob Crumpton; great grandchild, Bethany Douberly; and sister, Clara Clark (Bobby) of Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel in Newberry. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM prior to the service on Thursday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Memorials are suggested to Lexington Church of God, Building Fund, 1331 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.whitakerfuneralhome.com.
