Reagan Michelle Potter, 14, of Irmo, died on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Reagan was born on April 16, 2005 in Greenville, SC, the daughter of Richard "Rick" and Kelly Perry Potter. At 8 months of age, she was the recipient of a heart transplant. We were blessed to have had our sweet miracle for an additional 14 years. She loved every aspect of life and was well loved.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin and an eighth-grade student at Potter Academy with her mother home schooling her.
This sassy, sweet and always happy young lady adored the magnificence of life. She had a particular fondness for unicorns, enjoyed cooking and baking but spending time with family was her greatest joy.
In addition to her parents, Reagan is survived by her brother Cameron Potter whom she loved dearly; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Marie Perry of Moore, SC; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins and her doll Ally and her dog Dotty.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Dianna Potter.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 20th at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Dennis Wiley officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 PM in Bush River Memorial Gardens, Irmo.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at MUSC who took exceptional care of Reagan and who loved her as if she were family.
