Rebecca Crumpton Koon 83 formerly of Reeder Road Newberry widow of Levi S. Koon died Friday December 14 2007 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.She was born on Oct. 18 1924 in Newberry County a daughter of the late Walter A. and Genieva Long Crumpton. She was member of Bush River Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters Jeriah Boulware and Annette Rikard both of Newberry Sarah Lipe of Prosperity and Marie Shemiah of Sandusky OH; four sons Henry Koon of Kinards Carl Koon of Clinton Jeff Koon of Newberry and Donald Koon of Great Falls; a sister Corrie C. Davenport of Charleston; two brothers Walter J. Crumpton of Columbia and Willie O. Crumpton of Prosperity; 22 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two grandchildren a great grandchild and a sister.Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Monday at Bush River Baptist Church by the Rev. Brian Horton. Interment was in Bush River Church Cemetery.The family did receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bush River Baptist Church c/o John E.
