Rebecca Lindler of Chapin, 90 years of age, died on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Heritage of Lowman.
She was born in Little Mountain on March 14, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Daniel Evans (D. E.) and Carrie Eargle Lindler.
Miss Lindler was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Chapin.
She received her undergraduate degree from Newberry College and also did graduate studies at the University of South Carolina and at the University of Georgia.
She was an elementary school teacher during the World War II European reconstruction period at a US base in London, England. After teaching in Europe, she taught in South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.
Miss Lindler is survived by a sister, Martha Lindler of Little Mountain; a sister-in-law, Margie Lindler (wife of the late J. Earl Lindler) of Little Mountain; nephews; Kenneth Lindler (Libby) of Little Mountain, Aubrey Lindler (Lisa) of Chapin, and John Paul Lindler (Karen) of Lewisville, NC; and a niece, Ruth Anne Lindler of Lewisville, NC, and six grand-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Haskel, Earl and John Lindler and his wife Gwendolyn; and by a sister and her husband, Mary and George Wilson, and nephew David Lindler.
A private graveside service will be held with the Rev. David Tholstrup officiating.
