Rebecca Shealy Lybrand 77 widow of W. Teechie Lybrand died Thursday November 6 2008. Mrs. Lybrand was born in Prosperity a daughter of the late Wyman and Daisy Amick Shealy. She was retired from General Electric after 33 years and was a member of the Church of God and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Rowe of Saluda; her son Tony Lybrand and his wife Linda of Newberry; a sister Genell S. Oxner and her husband Harvey of Newberry; a brother Everett W. Shealy and his wife Sheila of Prosperity; three grandchildren Erika Roberts Randy Beach and Casey Lybrand; and five great grandsons Cameron Lybrand Chase Lybrand Nicholas Beach Jonathan Beach and Alex Beach. She was predeceased by a brother James Cornell Shealy. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Waco Cotney. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home.
