Richard "Rick" C. and Sharon Irene Zeien, both of Little Mountain, SC are now together in Heaven, after concurrent battles with illness. Sharon, age 66, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 and Richard, age 64, died Monday, June 6, 2022.
Born on May 11, 1955 in Peterboro, Ontario, Sharon was a daughter of the late Harold Arthur and Irene Barbara Ross. Born August 31, 1957, in Beloit, WI, Rick was a son of the late Bernard Emule and Gladys Devona Zeien.
Sharon worked for many years as a secretary for various departments within the State of Michigan, ultimately retiring as the secretary to the Warden of the Standish Max Prison. Rick was an entrepreneur in the building and sales of limousines. Upon retirement, they moved to the southeast, ultimately settling on Little Mountain, SC.
Sharon was a professional in all that she did. She was a caring person who loved everyone she met and always put others first. She had a green thumb, was always optimistic and positive, and had a fun laugh that was infectious. And she made the best chocolate cake.
Rick had a big heart and a warm smile. He lived his life by a set of simple priorities – God, Family, Country, Business, Self.
Above all else, Sharon and Rick loved their family. Sharon and her twin sister, Karen, would plan family dinners to create moments where everyone could 'just be together.' They treasured those times and the simple joy that came from being surrounded by those she loved. Rick loved the title "Grandfather" more than any other and they both were especially close to their grandchildren, Abigail and Myles, and to their niece and nephew, Allison and Aaron.
Sharon and Rick will both be remembered for their generous spirits and gracious hearts.
Richard and Sharon are survived by a daughter, Melissa Robinson (Jason) of MI; a son, Richard "Ricky" Zeien, II (Megan) of Davison, MI; grandchildren, Abigail and Myles Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews; and their beloved dog, Tux, whom Sharon spoiled every day.
