Robert Bob Kennerley 84 of 1975 Mt. Bethel Garmany Road died Friday July 25 2008 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.He was born on Jan. 31 1924 in Wilmington DE the son of the late Francis John and Ethel Leitzsey Kennerley. He was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was the owner and manager of Pinehaven Kennels and was retired from Sam Solomon. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Civitan Club.Mr. Kennerley is survived by his daughter and granddaughter Roberta Robin Kennerley and Leitzsey Catherine Kennerley of the home; his son Francis John Kennerley and wife Carol of Indianapolis IN; a sister Frances K. Smith of Augusta; grandchildren Heather and Dave Appleby and Tammi and Stephen Wess; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews Robert and Marsha Smith Diane and Buck Weber Ralph and Barbara Jones and Linda and Jim Hudson; and a number of great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Ethel Leitzsey Kennerley; 2 sisters Mary Catherine Kennerley and Beatrice Davis; and his beloved Cognac.Funeral services with military rites were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by Stephen Wess.
