Robert Bobby Carl Oxner Sr. 68 of Fort Mill died Friday January 2 2015 at Carolina Medical Center in Pineville. A memorial service will be at 11 AM Wednesday January 7 2015 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church 13110 Moss Road in Charlotte NC 28273 with the Rev. Talbot Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Bobby was born in Toccoa GA but lived the majority of his life in Newberry. He was a son of the late Ernest Leland Oxner and Frances Boggs Oxner Crawford. A graduate of Newberry High School Bobby also attended Georgia Military College Clemson University and Newberry College. He was in sales most of his working career having owned The Decorating Center in Newberry and later working for Shaw Industries. He attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife Sandra Burns Oxner; his daughter Katie Oxner James and her husband Michael of Lake Wylie; his son Robert Carl Oxner Jr. J and his wife Belinda of Spartanburg; his brother Jerry E. Oxner of Dallas TX; four grandsons Noah and Nathan Oxner and Wyatt and Cameron James.
