Robert K. "Bob" Bishop 77 of 1121 Marion St. Newberry died Thursday January 27 2005 at Providence Hospital.Mr. Bishop was born on January 19 1928 in Newberry a son of the late Bennett L. and Mamie Buzhardt Bishop. He was an Army veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He retired from Coburg Dairy after 32 years of service and was also employed by Senior Catering. He was a member of Bush River Baptist Church the Adult Men's Sunday School Class and was a Trustee of the Reedy River Association.Mr. Bishop was twice married first to the late Caroline Bishop and second to Betty G.Traylor Bishop. Besides his wife of the home he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Barry M. and Linda Traylor of Prosperity Tim G. and Lisa Traylor of Pomaria and Chris and Kay Traylor of Newberry; a sister Frances Woodruff of Goleta California; a brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Frankie Bishop of Charlotte NC; and six grandchildren Sam Traylor Stacey Traylor Shannon Traylor Jessica Traylor Charlsy Traylor and Willie Traylor. He was predeceased by two sisters Marguerite Parkman and Mamie Edgeworth and five brothers Joe Bishop Coleman Bishop Judson Bishop Pete Bishop David Bishop and Ben Bishop. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Bush River Baptist Church. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
