Robert O. Mister Bob Livingston Sr. 81 of 756 Kendall Road Newberry died Thursday December 15 2011 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on October 17 1930 in Pomaria he was a son of the late Arthur and Bessie Long Livingston. He was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church a member of the Newberry Masonic Lodge AFM #87 and was a Shriner. Mister Bob was the co-owner of Livingstons ABC Store and Bobs Party Pack former owner of City Service Station on Kendall Road and known by many by his CB handle The Colonel. Mister Bob truly enjoyed fellowship with friends at the Newberry County Council on Aging. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Helen L. and Steve Johnson of Newberry; sons and daughters-in-law Robert O. Bobby Jr. and Diane Livingston of Prosperity and Donald Yogi and Vicki Livingston of Newberry; grandchildren Robbie (Julie Willingham) Livingston Lee (Carla) Livingston Stephanie Johnson Hayli Livingston and Wesley Livingston; great grandchildren Destiny Nazhay Carlee Carson and Isaac; sister Lonette O. (Randy) Turner of Newberry; brothers Jake (Dorothy) Livingston and Mac Doodlebug (Angela) Livingston both of Newberry and Jimmy (Barbara) Livingston of Prosperity. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Shaw Livingston; sister Helen Rebecca Livingston and brother William Arthur Livingston. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday December 18 2011 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff ODell. Interment with Masonic Rites was in the Springdale Section of Rosemont Cemetery. The family will be at his residence and will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren and Bob Snelgrove. Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews Dave Waldrop and members of the Newberry Masonic Lodge AFM #87. Flowers will be graciously accepted and memorials may be made the Shriners Hospital for Children 950 W. Farris Road Greenville SC 29605; or to the Newberry County Council on Aging 1300 Hunt St. Newberry SC 29108.
