Robert P. Sparky Morris Jr. 64 of Newberry SC died Sunday June 20 2010 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on January 25 1946 in Sumter he was the son of the late Robert P. Sr. and Rita Lockliar Morris. He was a member of Bush River Baptist Church and worked for many years as a supply specialist for South Carolina Disabilities and Special Needs. His passion was showing cars antique cars classic cars and street rods. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Diane Williard Morris; granddaughter who was his heart Adriane Diane Morris; daughter Delisa Diane DeeDee Morris of Prosperity; son Robert P. Trey Morris III of Prosperity and his girlfriend Teresa Wall of West Columbia; sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Charles Cromer of Newberry; and brothers and sisters-in-law Ronnie and Bonnie Morris and Tony and Denise Morris all of Timmonsville and Al and Harriett Morris of Florence. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 P.M. Thursday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Preston. Interment will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be his nephews; Ron Morris Buster Morris Tim Morris Andy Rowe Mitch Morris Shawn Morris Stephen Morris and Robin Morris.
