Roger Jackson Marlow, Sr. of Newberry, died Monday, November 20, 2017. Born on February 11, 1968 in Greenville, he was a son of the late Alvin "Bud" Jackson Marlow, Jr. and Lois Hatchell Marlow. He was retired from Hobby Construction. Roger was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Newberry and was also a member of Woodmen of the World. He was proud to have been raised at Boys Farm in Newberry by Mom and Pop Shealy. Survivors include his wife, Carol Eargle Marlow; children, Rachael LeAnn Marlow, Celia Marie Marlow and Roger J. "RJ" Marlow, Jr.; and siblings, Jerry and Jackie Marlow, Mark and Kathy Couch and Mary Ann Orr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by special friends, George Nelson and Grayson Hobby; his brother, Jimmy Serenius, sister, Gloria Peters and nephew, Alvin Marlow. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday at Faith Lutheran Church by the Rev. Al Potter. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
