Ronald Alfred "Ron" Seymour, 76, of Newberry, SC died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his residence. Born November 28, 942 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Alfred Theodore Seymour and Grace Post Seymour. Ron was a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh and had several credits towards his Masters Degree. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Vietnam War and retired from Sony Corporation. An active individual, both physically and mentally, he enjoyed the game of golf and took pleasure in beating his sister in the game of Upwords. Mathematics, computers and playing the lottery were his passions with desserts being his favorite foods., especially Chocolate Thunder From Down Under. Mr. Seymour is survived by his wife. Seymour (Annette) of Ballston Spa, NY, Edmund "Buddy" Seymour (Karla) of Wayne, ME and Deanna M.Ward (Branden) of Sumter, SC; grandchildren: Peter Seymour, Chris Seymour, Cassandra Seymour, Darrin Cripe, Ryan Seymour, Cameron Blosser and Katelyn Womack; six great grandchildren; siblings, Cheryl Jowle (David) of Quebec, Canada, Wayne Seymour (Pauline) of Florida, Doug Seymour (Martha) of Long Island, NY, Sharleen Galbraith (Craig) of Prosperity, SC and Valerie Polite (Peter) of Long Island, NY; special niece, Michelle Gangale, nephew, Matthew Galbraith, and his beloved dog, Sweet Pea. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Jenna Michelle Cripe. Private family services will be held. The family suggests memorials be made to the Boys Farm Inc, 6655 SC-34, Newberry.
