Ronnie Leon Hyatt, age 60, of Newberry, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Born June 14, 1961 in Gunnison, Utah, he was a son of Vivian DeAun Steneck and the late Leon Elmo Hyatt. Ron always seemed to find a way to make those around him laugh. If he could help you, he would. He will always be remembered for the way he loved people with genuine kindness and a heart of gold. Ron is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debbie Goff Hyatt; his mother, DeAun Nuttle; step-children Tim Boatwright (Renee), Alena Ellisor, and Amanda Strickland; a sister Melanie Brown (Todd); brothers Ryan Saddler (Emily), Bobby Saddler (Tesha), and Brett Saddler (Melissa); grandchildren Alyssa Lott, Brooke Ellisor, Breanna Drake, Hannah Boatwright, Dylan Strickland, and Daniel Strickland; and great grandchildren Kenzie Strickland and Addison Drake. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Hyatt. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 7th, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at the Hyatt home, 2122 Harper Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
