Ruby Dominick Nichols 87 formerly of 5423 SC Highway 395 Newberry widow of Willie Herman Nichols died Sunday November 2 2003 at the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Mrs. Nichols was born on December 7 1915 in Newberry County a daughter of the late Ed and Carrie Wicker Dominick. She was a retired employee of Prosperity Manufacturing. She was a member of Colony Lutheran Church WELCA the Morning and Evening Seniors and the Adult Sunday School Class. Mrs. Nichols loved her family and her church a devoted mother who is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law Dorothy Anne N. and Paul Hawkins of Prosperity Bobbie N. and William A. Smith and Peggy Faye N. and Billy D. Morris all of Newberry and Virginia Dale N. and Roger Longshore of Silverstreet; two sons and daughters-in-law Jerry A and Patsy P. Nichols and Allen E. and Carolyn R. Nichols all of Newberry; a daughter in law Evelyn S. Nichols of Peak; two sisters Vera D. Lester and Lera D. Kinard both of Newberry; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Willie Edward Nichols.Funeral services for Ruby Dominick Nichols will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry L. Trantham. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
