Ruth Lisalotte Marcotulli, 71, of Prosperity, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her residence. Born on April 7, 1954, in Rexburg, Idaho, she was a daughter to the late Alwin and Margrit Rein Fricker.

A dedicated homemaker, Ruth devoted her life to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. Her strong will and great sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Ruth cherished the annual family vacations to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, where laughter and love were plentiful.

Ruth had a passion for bird watching, with hummingbirds holding a special place in her heart. Her creativity knew no bounds, as she enjoyed crafting, painting, ceramics, and crocheting, each piece reflecting her vibrant personality and artistic talent. Holidays were her favorite, a time when her love for creativity and family came together in joyous celebration.

Above all, Ruth treasured her family. She was immensely proud of her children, but her grandchildren were the true lights of her life. Her legacy of love and togetherness will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Marcotulli; her daughters, Christina Ubel (Jason), Lisa Sumbera (John), Liane Berns (Adam); grandchildren Drew Rodrigues, Kylie Rodrigues, Jack Sumbera, Nicholas Sumbera, Joseph Berns, and Wesley Berns; siblings Verena Zaugg (Jeff), Bruno Fricker (Lena) and Trixie Montgomery (Fred). She is also survived by her nephews, Brian Marcotulli and Eric Marcotulli; and her brother-in-law, Richard Marcotulli (Kathy).

A Gathering will be held from 3:30PM until 5:00PM, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Whitaker Funeral Home, 939 Chapin Rd, Chapin, SC, 29036.
