Ruth Richardson Koon 94 formerly 1689 Peak Road Pomaria widow of Thomas Clyde Koon died Tuesday June 13 2006 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home Newberry. Mrs. Koon was born on September 27 1911 in Richland County a daughter of the late John Burley and Mary E. Eleazer Richardson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church and W. E. L. C. A.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Brenda K. and George Long of Pomaria; a son and daughter-in-law Paul and Norma R. Richardson of Pomaria; two sisters Emily Wilson and Thelma Farr of Irmo; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband four brothers and two sisters.Funeral services were conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at Pomaria Lutheran Church by Rev. Dr. Mary Havens. Interment was in the Pomaria cemetery.Visitation was from 6:30 to 7:30 P. M.
