Obituary

Sadie Frances Smith Abrams, 70, of Newberry, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2024, at her residence in Newberry.

She was born on July 26, 1953, in Newberry, South Carolina, she was a daughter to the late Thomas Carol Smith and the late Ethel Louise Suber Smith.

Frances was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and Glenn Street Baptist Church. She worked as a teacher's assistant for years at Speers Street School, Boundary Street School, and retired from Prosperity Rikard Elementary School. She enjoyed all kinds of music; especially the 70's hits and Beach music. She would often love to go out for karaoke nights. Dancing was another one of her favorite enjoyments. She was always proud of her family and was very focused on kids and always volunteered to babysit. She always loved helping in the gardens with all of her family. Some of her other favorite things she always enjoyed was going to the beach, playing in the snow, riding around looking at Christmas lights, shooting fireworks with her family, neighbors, and friends.

She will be known for her caring nature and always putting others first, while taking care of them. She kept family close, taking trips with them, even volunteering during their field trips. She always loved everyone around her, and everyone loved her!!

She is survived by: her husband of forty-four years, Wallace "Danny" Abrams; her daughter, Danielle McElveen (Bran), grandson, Colt McElveen; her son, Jared Abrams; and her grandson, Mathieu Montijo-Abrams. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Higginbottom. Also, several other loving extended family members.
