Sally Jacob Sanders 65 of Columbia died Thursday October 22 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday October 26 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia with Pastor Richard Ryals and Pastor Todd Vick officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm Monday in Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry SC. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and again following the interment in Newberry. She was born on March 2 1950 in Columbia SC a daughter of the late Herbert and Constance Jordan Jacob. Sallys work history was with Richland School District 1. An important part of her life was her membership in Calvary Baptist Church a church that she loved and enjoyed participating in. She was a very loving caring and giving wife mother and grandmother and she valued giving to others. Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband of 40 years Marvin Benjamin Benjie Sanders; son David (Sherry) ONeal of Columbia; grandchildren Nathan ONeal of Columbia and Jessica (Jay) Simmons of Lexington; siblings Allen (Louise) Jacob of Lexington Eddie (Kathy) Jacob of West Columbia and Doris Beckham of Columbia; mother-in-law Carolyn Sanders of Newberry; and a number of loved nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Herbert Marvin Herb Sanders and brothers Frank Jacob and Homer Jacob. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adults Sunday School Class.
