Samuel Wilbur SW Shealy Jr. 75 of Newberry died on Wednesday May 20 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday May 23 2015 at Newberry Church of God conducted by the Rev. Michael Davis Rev. Charles Clinton and Rev. Paul Rowe. Interment will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Whitaker Funeral Home on Friday May 22 2015 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM. He was born on February 16 1940 in Prosperity a son of the late Samuel Wilbur Shealy Sr. and Nannie Koon Shealy. SW was a strong Christian man and a member of Newberry Church of God. He was a former insurance sales person and also had been a truck driver with Swing Transport Cromer Logging Harmon Pulpwood and Milliken. He was a member of the Newberry Moose Lodge. SW enjoyed camping golfing and spending time with the Hardees Breakfast Club. He loved his family and pets. He is survived by his wife Wanda Teague Shealy; children Steven Neil Shealy (Debra) and Melody Shealy Cotney (Dean) both of Newberry; step-children Brad King of Newberry Scott King (Teresa) and Angela King Lynch (Greg) both of York; grandchildren Lauren Shealy (Shaun) Rynn Rogers (Blake) Matt Amerson (Amanda) and Blake Amerson; step-grandchildren Stephanie Clinton Jerry Martin Jessica Martin Roy King Scott King and Hope King; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Bonnie Lawson Peggy Ammons and Dot Springs; and a special friend Curtis Koon. He was predeceased by a step-child Roy King Jr.; and half-siblings Ellis Shealy Curtis Shealy Carol Shealy Wilma McDonald and Annette Branham.
