Sara Mae Kinard Day 84 of 5922 Jollystreet Road Newberrywidow of H. C. Day died Sunday October 26 2003 at the home of her daughter Karen Day in Columbia.Mrs. Day was born on August 7 1919 in Prosperity a daughter of the late George I. and Carrie Mae Sligh Kinard. She retired from Central Drug Store and Main Street Pharmacy. After retirement she worked for Super Exterminating Company. She was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church W.E.L.C.A. Cirle # 1 Adult Sunday School Class and the church choir.Mrs. Day is survived by a daughter Karen Day of Columbia; special nieces and nephews B. L. and Dale Brown of Newberry and C. L. "Duck" and Sally Kinard of Irmo; a granddog Luke. She was predeceased by four brothers J. Ernest Kinard Sr. Ira. H. "Bub" Kinard Clarence L. "Sam" Kinard and Otis C. "Kid" Kinard.Funeral services for Sara Mae K. Day will be conducted at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday at the Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman L. Deal. Interment will be in the church cemetery.Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 P. M. Tuesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
