Sara Nell "Midge" Foy Jones, 94, of Newberry, died Thursday, November 3, 2022 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born in Newberry on August 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William Alonzo and Elizabeth Davenport Foy.

Midge was a woman of faith and an active member of First Baptist Church of Newberry, where she treasured the opportunity to grow in her personal relationship with God.

She worked at Shakespeare Composite Structures where she retired after many years as plant manager. Midge loved playing golf and was a long-time member of the Country Club of Newberry. She was a traveler, enjoying maiden voyages on cruise ships, national and international excursions. If she was not on the golf course or on a trip, you could find her shopping with her daughter, Diane, enjoying all the latest fashion trends.

Midge was many things to many people and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her joy of giving.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Donnie Mills of Newberry; God-children, Brandon, Sarah, and Jaci; many extended family members, golfing friends, and other dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Collie "C.W." Jones, Jr.; daughter, Diane Jones Mills; and brothers, Ray, Robert, and J.W. Foy.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Whitaker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
